Global Engagement and International Affairs

The Center for Global Engagement and International Affairs is composed of the Office of Education Abroad; International Student and Scholar Services; and the American English Language Program.

Our mission is to develop and promote global perspectives through engagement in the international arena and to become a regional resource for global initiatives.  NKU achieves its international mission through high quality study abroad experiences; international student recruitment, retention and involvement; an international curriculum; international scholar exchanges; and diverse international opportunities for faculty and staff in teaching, research and outreach.

The American English Language Program (AELP) offers English language classes in an intensive program and semi-intensive program for students who wish to develop their English language skills.

The International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) office is directed by Dr. François Le Roy and is responsible for all international recruitment and admision, foreign credential evaluation for undergraduates, international student programming, immigration advising, and assistance in administering the university's English Proficiency Requirements.

The Office of Education Abroad (OEA) is directed by Dr. François Le Roy and offers a variety of opportunities and services for studying abroad. The office coordinates annual Alternative Spring Break programs as well as exchange programs with international universities.
